AN-140 AIRCRAFT OXYGEN EQUIPMENT

Oxygen equipment provides:

- crew members oxygen supply; - for prophylaxis at continuous flights;
- at emergency depressurization of cabin; - at displacement in depressurized cabin in smoky compartments;
- at pressure altitude in cabin over 3000 m; - cabin attendant oxygen supply and 10% of passengers when cabins depressurizating during aircraft emergency descent on safe altitude.
- occurring smoke in cabin;  

Breathing oxygen GOST-5583-78 is used for oxygen equipment.

At each crew and inspector operating place one unit MXP-302 (per each) with MC-10-05 oxygen mask, purposed for providing pulmonary-automatic and emergency oxygen supply. MXP-210 goggles are placed in soft cloth pockets, in containers, with placard GOGGLES on the covers (at each working place of crew members and inspector).

Smoke protection cowls for crew members in cabin on partition (frane No. 7) and for cabin attendant in passenger cabin on the partition of toilet (frame No. 32) are placed. They are purposed for protection of breathing and sight organ for one of crew members and cabin attendant from smoke and toxic substances, excreting at fire in the aircraft. Cowl is single action and furnished with two-channel microphone for radio communication. It has serviceable indicator.

BC-3-210 bottle of 3l capacity, pressure 210 kgf/cm2 is a service bottle for three units MXP-302, which are connected to the bottle through lock-reducing device. Valve K-20, which is lock-starting device, is mounted on the bottle. Valve is furnished with fusible valve, which actuates at temperature 95-100oC and discharges oxygen to atmosphere.

Two units of oxygen supply BKP-2-2-210, of 2l capacity with pressure 210 kgf/cm2 are purposed for passengers oxygen supply when connecting masks MKP-1T to them.
